The Screaming Turtles community has been free to its members since its inception. That has not changed. Our Supporting Membership program is a purely voluntary way to give back to the community and get some nice perks in return.

We have high-quality TF2 and L4D2 servers (We’re prepared to add more if/when justified by demand.), vibrant forums (“Hear and be heard!”), and a Ventrillo server (when Steam chat just isn’t enough). None of these are free. Our dedicated Admins volunteer their time and talent to create and maintain the great gaming environment that keeps all of us coming back for more. SMs make all of this, and future growth of the community, possible.

If you enjoy yourself here, in our Forums or in our game servers, and you’d like to help support the community’s financial needs, please consider upgrading to SM for only $4 per month. Beyond the satisfaction that comes with helping support something you enjoy, SMs receive more tangible benefits, including:

- Reserved Slots on the TF2 server
- Immunity from auto-balance in TF2
- Access to the SM-Only Forum
- A ScreamingTurtles email address
- Ability to post polls in the forums
- Others, TBD in accordance with interest/demand, resource availability, and technical feasibility

If you choose to become a SM, please read and heed the following:
- PM Norton your PayPal name, SteamID, and TF2 Playername, after your transaction is complete, so we can ensure proper setup of your SM benefits.
- All benefits, including Reserved Slots, will be set up within 48 hours.

We’ll say it again: Supporting Membership is purely voluntary. We are as “non-profit” as they come, and will stay that way. All proceeds from SMs will go toward growing and improving our community. If, like we, you want to help make this a reality, please consider subscribing. You are, of course, free to enjoy the publicly accessible benefits of our community either way.
